DeMoCraft

The Dutch research consortium Democratic Moral Craftsmanship for Just and Resilient Institutions (DeMoCraft) investigates the knowledge, skills, attitudes and practices that politicians and public administrators require to uphold democratic and moral norms. It aims to strengthen the resilience of public administration and reinforce public trust, by helping politicians and administrators develop ‘democratic moral craftsmanship’.

A Collaboration

DeMoCraft is a collaboration of universities and societal partners. We are very pleased that three members of UvA’s Platform for Democratic Resilience, Matthijs Lok, Jerfi Uzman and Ursula Daxecker will be contributing to DeMoCraft, which will greatly complement and enhance the work of our platform.

The Grant

The grant is awarded as part of the Research along Routes by Consortia (ORC) programme line of the Dutch Research Agenda (NA) and will support the further development of knowledge in relation to democratic resilience.
