Are illiberal and far-right political actors becoming increasingly transnational?

This question was at the centre of a workshop held in Amsterdam on 15 and 16 January and organized by the UvA Platform for Democratic Resilience. The workshop was convened by UvA-researchers Jack Thompson, Gulnaz Sibgutallina and Nik de Boer.

The Workshop

Participants included Ursus Eijkelenberg, Piotr Zagórski, Paul Blokker, Ariadna Ripoll Servent, Stijn van Kessel, Léonie de Jonge, Kai Arzheimer and Batuhan Eren. Contributions examined forms of transnational cooperation and the circulation of shared ideas among far-right and illiberal political actors across a range of countries and settings.

The convenors and participants are working towards a joint publication.
